Another difference between the two exams is the length of the test. The IELTS is a 4-hour long test while the PTE is a 3-hour long test. The IELTS has four sections: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. The PTE has three sections: listening, reading, and speaking.
The IELTS is scored on a 9-point scale, while the PTE is scored on a 10-point scale. The IELTS is more focused on grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, while the PTE is focused more on understanding spoken and written English.
