In the most cases a good covering letter is very important like a CV/Resume to drag the attention of some the employers. Cover latter reflects the writing style. It gives more personal touch over the contents of you CV. More relevant information’s and explanation of your relevant experience and reason of hiring you must be involved in a cover later. Few key things to remember to write a good cover letter are given bellow.

Length :   

Ideally it should be about half page. Most of the survey shown that majority of the employers preferred half a page.

Mention the position name:

Mention the position your are applying for at the very beginning of the cover latter

Clear and To the point:

Make it clear, relevant and to the Point.

Use your Own Word:

Use your own words instead of being too formal or following some templates.

Not more than one page:

Try not to write more than one page of A4 size paper.

Why consider you:

Try to answer why consider you for the next steps or interview.

Include the aspects of job and knowledge of the company: 

It could be included your duties and responsibilities of the position you are applying for and mention some positive information about the company you are applying for.

Address the reader personally:

Mention the name of the reader if know which means you giving him/her enough attention

Relate your education and skills:

 Try to relate your education any kind trainings and skills with the position you are applying.

Relate your experience:

If your previous job or part of its responsibilities relevant with current job you are applying don’t forget to mention that at all.

If emailed:

If you have to email the CV and covering letter put the covering letter at the body of your email.
